Our Courses
We at Fire and Safety Scotland are embarking on two new and exciting training programmes. These are valuable programs that help saves lives and provide staff with the confidence to act in case of an emergency.
Emergency First Aid Training program.
Our one-day emergency First Aid is ideal for offices, shops and personal care premises. This course will help bring you and your staff to a Level recommended by the HSE. This is suitable for low-risk work environments. This will qualify you as an emergency first aider, which you will then receive a certificate at the end of the course.
Included in this course you will gain understanding the role and responsibilities of a First Aider, assess an incident, manage an unresponsive casualty, recognise and assist a casualty who is choking. Manage a casualty with external bleeding, person in shock and manage as person with minor injury.
Fire Marshal Training program.
Our Fire Marshal training course makes you and your staff aware of the duties and responsibilities in case of a fire. This includes how the Fire Marshal can help other co- workers and customers evacuate safely, how to check the premises has been evacuated and what to do outside the building.
First Aid Training Course
Providing a safer working environment.- This one day Emergency First Aid at Work course is for those who work in low hazard environments such as offices, shops and libraries – or for those who have identified the requirement for an emergency first aider in their risk assessment.
- On this course, candidates will learn basic life saving first aid and workplace health and safety regulations. Those who attend this course will learn how to take action in emergency situations, know and demonstrate basic life saving techniques and how to deal with minor injuries and illnesses in the workplace.
- Those who successfully complete this course will receive an Emergency First Aid at Work certificate from QualSafe, which is valid for 3 years

Fire Marshal Training Course
Protecting People, then property- Fire marshals need a good understanding of Fire safety and specific fire hazards in their workplaces. They are responsible for the preventative day -to-day duties and duties required in the event of a fire.
- Having a designated fire marshal at work is an important part of fire safety.
- Included within this course you will learn the current fire safely law within the UK, fire hazards in the work place. Fire procedures, complete a fire drill, operating fire equipment and much more. This course will provide a certificate on completion.
- To reflect this, we offer 2 levels of Fire Training where delegates will receive a Certificate upon completion.

Fire Awareness Training
Making Staff Aware- 1 hour, max group of 20 people
- Awareness training on Fire Extinguishers and types of Fires.
- Classes of fire
- Fire Extinguisher demonstration.
- What to do in the event of a fire and Fire Marshal duties and responsibilities
- Information on the selection and siting of extinguishers in the workplace When new staff are inducted is the best time to arrange fire training, with refresher training completed annually. As part of Fire and Safety Scotland’s company’s strategy at dealing with a fire, different members of staff may carry out varied roles.
